Cross Butts Stable Hotel & Restaurant - A Perfect Rustic Venue

Today I have stumbled accross the most beautiful wedding venue in North Yorkshire.
Cross Butts Stable Hotel & Restaurant was rebuilt and refurbished after the awful foot and mouth disease experience in the uk back in 2001. Many families who had been in farming lost their livelyhoods.

Cross Butts has a really rustic charm, which it would be hard for anyone not to fall in love with. So if your looking for a venue with that something special take a look at their website below.

Local Wedding Venue Focus

The Lord Nelson Pub - Thirsk
If you are struggling to find a reception venue and you are looking for something more relaxed and informal then look no further.

Situated on St James Green in Thirsk, The Lord Nelson Pub dates back to the 17th Century.

The Lord Nelson Pub in Thirsk has a lovely function room at the back that would be perfect for a wedding reception. There is room for a DJ or live entertainment and foodwise menus can be tailored to your specific requirements.

The food is excellent and you certainly get value for money, I can certainly vouch for this myself as being on the doorstep I have visted the  Lord Nelson from time to time, taking my family for sunday lunch and i have celberated two birthdays there. Staff are very helpful and you always get a friendly welcome.
So why not check out their website

Alnwick Castle, Northumberland

Recently i took a short break with my family to Northumberland, and one of the attractions on our list of things to do was to visit Alnwick Castle - mainly because of its links to the filming of the Harry potter movies and my daughter is a big Harry Potter fan.

Back in February Lady Katie Percy, daughter of the Duke of Northumberland, married City financier Patrick Valentine ,the ceremony was later followed by a reception at her family's Alnwick Castle.

Lady Katie Percy, daughter of the Duke of Northumberland, married City financier Patrick Valentine, followed by a reception at her family's Alnwick Castle, which doubles as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films.

She travelled the short distance down Bailiffgate, Alnwick, in Northumberland, from the castle to St Michael's Parish Church in a restored horse-drawn carriage.

Lady Katie, a 28-year-old former motorcycle mechanic and gunmaker, wore a beautiful Bruce Oldfield dress and was accompanied by her father in the carriage, which was drawn by two white horses.

Kate Middletons sister Pippa Middleton and Prince Harry's on off girlfriend Chelsey Davey were among the guests.

Lady Katie's stunning dress, and the restored coach can be seen on display at the castle.

So whether you are seeking somewhere special to visit or are looking for a stunning medieval wedding venue then Alnwick Castle could be for you.
